Jason Fleming, Founder, Chief Visionary Officer (CEO)
For more than 15 years, Jason Fleming has
successfully started up, owned, and operated one health-oriented business after another: Etowah
Therapies, an organic mushroom farm, Sensua Organics, Sympathical Pharmaceuticals, Simple Medicinals, and Vitality Consultations. Whether treating fibromyalgia with
yoga, massage and meditation, or relieving everyday aches and illnesses with homeopathic oral sprays,
Fleming has a history of being in the right place at the right time, connecting the dots of consumer supply
and demand. Jason has studied a range of medicines by apprenticing with a master herbalist and a
shaman, and training with acupuncturists, homeopaths, and doctors of Oriental Medicine. To help define
and bring his projects to market, Fleming has cultivated business relationships with Fortune 50 executives
who specialize in prescription and OTC pharmaceuticals, medical devices, R&D, and IP.
Jason is a strong executive manager with proven success in consumer products, perishable consumables, manufacturing,
and product development. A results-focused leader with a talent for driving growth and creating
new products and revenue streams.
Daniel H. Ciccarone, MD, MPH, Chief Medical Officer (CMO)
Dan is Associate Professor of Clinical
Family and Community Medicine in the Departments of Family and Community Medicine and Anthropology,
History and Social Medicine at the University of California San Francisco. He is a lead or coinvestigator
on a number of research projects in the areas of public health and prevention, utilizing observational,
survey and clinical trial methodologies. Since 2001, Dan has served as Attending Physician
in a publicly funded multi-specialty medical clinic in Berkeley, CA. He's also served as Volunteer Physician
and Medical Director for San Francisco's Homeless Youth Alliance since 1999. His publications
have appeared in the American Journal of Public Health, Journal of the American Medical Association,
the New England Journal of Medicine, and other top journals. Dan earned his MD at the State University
of New York in 1987, completed his residency in family practice at UCSF in 1992, and received his MPH
in Epidemiology from UC Berkeley in 1998.
Chris Kyle, Vice President, Sales & Marketing
A graduate of Stanford University, Chris spent the last
22 years successfully guiding and growing small to mid-size organizations as an executive, management
consultant, and business coach. As President of The Ascendant Company, Chris works directly
with executives, managers, and sales personnel in a variety of industries on key business issues such
as strategic planning, revenue growth tactics, and sales effectiveness. Prior to founding Ascendant,
Chris was Director of Client Partnerships and a partner at RightNow Consulting where he worked with
clients to assist them in executing specific business growth strategies focused on building, training, and
managing sales teams. Earlier in his career Chris held several corporate executive positions in sales,
marketing, and business development where he maintained top-producer status.
Nancy Fleming, Sales Manager
A graduate of UCLA with a BA in cultural anthropology, Nancy has a
great track record as a high-energy, seriously productive sales rep. From musicians and designer clothing
to computers and personal care products, Nancy has successfully represented people and products
throughout her career by employing crystal clear communication skills, in-depth knowledge of what she's
repping, and a well-honed way of overcoming objections to close the sale. Experienced with start-ups as
well as established companies, Nancy single-handedly built and trained sales teams for Sensua Organics
and Sympathical Pharmaceuticals - both successful startups in the natural personal care industry.
Advisors
Dr. David Kyle, PhD
In addition to a long career as a professor at San Jose State University, University
of Phoenix, Foothill College, and the Findhorn Foundation in Scotland, David has a wealth of experience
in management and organizational consulting. While his primary focus is on executive coaching and
CEO development, David also specializes in strategic consulting for start-up companies and mergerand-
acquisition integrations. His international consulting includes work in Asia, Africa, the Middle East,
and the former Soviet Union.
Behrooz Rezvani, PhD
Behrooz is an industry recognized visionary in the field of communications systems,
information technology, and telecommunications networks. Prior to founding Quantenna, Dr. Rezvani
founded Ikanos Communications where he served as CTO through its IPO in 2005. While at Ikanos
his pioneering work resulted in the first 100 Mbps over copper technology and was later adopted as the
world wide standard by ITU-T, IEEE and ANSI for VDSL2. Previously, he established the AFC-Fremont
Advanced Design Center, where he managed the development of the award winning xDSL line cards
and IFW-NGDLC technology. Previously, Rezvani held management and engineering positions at Ericsson,
Raynet, MicroUnity, Siemens, Rockwell, and GE. Dr. Rezvani received a B.S./M.S. degree in electronic
engineering from NDSU/UND and a Ph.D. from Marquette University. He holds more than 20 patents
with 10 pending. He is a frequent speaker at industry forums.

Laura Holland Belk, Co-Creative Director
A professional writer with more than 20 years experience
in advertising and marketing, Laura Holland Belk operates a freelance writing business that has served
a range of clients including Adobe, Business Objects, Esalen, Hewlett-Packard, Sympathical Pharmaceuticals,
and Xtracycle. A former senior writer for Autodesk, Laura learned the strategic ins and outs of
targeted messaging during her 10-year stint at Pickett Communications in San Francisco. There she
focused on developing award-winning concepts and content for the high-tech, wine and spirits, and financial
services industries. Laura holds an MA in Integral Counseling from California Institute of Integral
Studies and a BA in Psychological Research from Sonoma State University.
William Salit, Co-Creative Director
As principal and Senior Art Director for William Salit Design, William
specializes in full-service print and online marketing communications, including: corporate identity,
direct marketing, website design and development, image advertising, collateral, events, outdoor, CD
packaging, trade and consumer publications. A partial list of clients he's service include: Adobe, AT&T,
Business Objects, Bank of America, Harvest Urban Market, and UCSF Medical Center. William also currently
serves as Art Director for Organic Style Magazine and Design Director for Benefit Magazine. William
holds a BFA in Fine Art, Graphic Design, and Communications from the State University of New
York at Binghampton.
